Need Hamilton back though, take it all this retirement talk is just sour grapes and he will be on the grid next year.

Instead of whinging over whose the biggest whinger of 2021, perhaps we should start a new thread for the 2022 season and focus on that?  The Mercedes design is going to be interesting - especially if it gets outlawed part way through the season ... |

On that point, In the past I have created a whole series of threads, one per race, but interest seemed to wane so not sure if it is worth doing like that again or not? or just have a single "F1 Race Weekend" thread that gets updated and replied to each race? Opinions? thoughts? |

But the complaining about Horner is just that old chestnut…… Lewis whilst being an excellent driver never stops complaining. His threats to retire or not return to F1 this season was nothing but moaning and trying to get attention. The results of that last race are the results. No real sportsman or sporting team should make such a song and dance over a decision just because it goes against them. That’s not sporting. Both drivers had decisions they didn’t like. |

I don't think Hamilton has actually said very much at all. Hamilton has been saying for months that he may not return to F1…? That’s why there’s been so much speculation but most treated it as a tantrum. |

Not the same as repeatedly saying the same thing. It is what the press do to sell space and airtime - take one statement and rehash it many times. |

As you say, a thread per race is overkill - especially for really boring races - but I feel that there is some interest in the championship and the rule changes season by season. Others may feel differently ... ? |

There was a big thread on Pistonheads on this topic of Hamilton and what he says and Verstappen and what he says and thier teams. Plus of course the debate over who plays fair when driving. No one wins with these arguments because few see both sides. It’s not really the way we talk here so I’ll say no more but if people want to slag off a particular driver or team then it’s reasonable to expect the same back. Nuff said eh ? |
