Hi All i have a 2008 xtr rav and enjoy the fact that it has passed mot every year with no problems.

Hi All, my name is Ray i joined yesterday so i can read your reviews and get any help, I have a 2008 rav 4.3 xt5 which i am very happy with i have the car 10 years and has not given me any bother, I would like to know if i need to fit a relay when fitting reverse camera to reverse lights for 12 volt power thankyou Ray.

Greetings.
Depending which model or more importantly which head unit you have you may be able to add the genuine camera as the wires are already in place. So it’s just a case of fitting the camera and connecting it up to the existing wiring ...If I remember rightly it was one plug.

Thank you for your reply i am aware of the s7 socket but it is a 12volt camera, i need to know if i need the relay to enable stable voltage as the s7 plug uses 6volt for signal to head b9004. Thanks Ray.

Just connect the camera 12V supply to the reversing lights 12V feed.
You don't need a relay for that.

Where are you fitting the camera, the lead will be inside the rear door, I fitted my camera into the numberplate But nowhere that price so had to pull the wiring back into the car.
