Hi folks. My Mitsi Eclipse Cross has this lovely piano black gloss trim. It's also on other parts of the interior. Trouble is it scratches really easily. Could anyone advise how to remove light scratches please? Or.... is it even possible to remove them?

As soon as you try to buff it it will look worse Jamie. It's a bl@@dy stupid finish to put in a car as far I am concerned.

I wonder if Jamie could get the parts covered in that stuff you have on your bonnet etc? After that, I'd be down to the Black wax polish options to try and hide the scratches. It's hard enough to keep a piano finished in that way looking good over time.

However many do apply wraps to their interior panels. Might be worth a bit of research for a suitable clear wrap Jamie.

When I compare your bonnet with mine, it looks well worth the inversment!

Had the Ventureshield applied professionally very soon after I got the RAV Chris. I fear that my bonnet would now be looking far worse than yours bearing in mind the amount of gravel extraction and spillage of same on the roads around here.

Ah , thanks chaps - seems like a possible solution but it would need doing well. As it's quite a fiddly area to cover , but thanks for the thoughts 👍

The misses' car has the same, tried autoglym super resin polish following a recommendation.
Scratches/swirls gone. Whether they'll stay gone I doubt but looks so much better for now.

I was sceptical. But to be fair it's done an excellent job.

Autoglym SRP contains fillers which hide scratches. As it’s a very low cut polish it’s ok for polishing piano black. Either way it doesent matter so long as they are no longer visible. I Have some specific polish in the garage the name of which I can’t remember. Will have a look tomorrow.. ALWAYS do a tiny sample area first 👍👍👍👍👍

We have the piano black trim on the C-HR at the moment it’s not got any scratches 🤞🏼I usually wipe them down with a really soft microfibre cloth and they’ve been ok so far.

Just remember Piano black is both delicate and thin. Only polish when necessary as you can strike though it oh so easily.
