Are those not like everything Mitsubishi currently offers...ancient. I guess another view might be 'tried and tested'. Have to say that the Mitsubishi PHEV system is far superior to anything that Toyota currently offer. Son managed 1100 miles between petrol refills in one Outlander PHEV that he had.

Our "old" Shogun was a brilliant car and utterly reliable - unlike some so-called "prestige" marques.......

Or b) Kia Sportage - not setting the bar very high!! Sportage is a hideous pile of junk... The extent that Hyundai/Kia have progressed in the last 10 or 15 years is quite phenominal, IMHO. Our neighbour has had a 2008 Hyundai Sante Fe from new. He does the lion's share of their travelling, has regularly towed their caravan with it and it now has pretty stellar miles on it. Apart from normal servicing and consumables it has never needed attention.
OK, I know it's not a Sportage but Kias and Hyundais are the same cars mechanically and Kia does have the confidence to offer an extra 2 years warranty over Hyundai's 5 years.
I appreciate that you don't rate Kias, Charlie, but junk? No way!

That's true, if it works then it works. Is the PHEV thing 4wd?

The Outlander PHEV is 4WD 'on demand' similar to the RAV in concept but completely different in terms of the engineering.
