I must be one of few on here that don't like them, I think the 5 door is a far better car then the 3, sorry but each to their own.

Does look very tidy but the manual gearbox model can not command that sort of price ☹️ Like the leather interior think it was an optional extra back in the day 👍🏻

Funnily enough, The Boss and I were discussing this in the context of maybe getting another Land Cruiser (😳 yeah. I know, here we go again!) and we agree that the 5-door 4.2 is indeed the more practical option. Nevertheless the 3-door is a lovely and rather unique design. It's only real drawback is lack of space if you are carrying more than 2 people and their luggage, shopping, etc.

I like the looks of the 3 Door, but having owned both a 5-Door RAV4.2 and a 3-Door RAV4.2 - both 2.0 VVTi petrols, I have to say I much preferred the ride of the 5 Door. Maybe my 3 Door one needed something sorting on it, but I found the very short wheelbase resulted in a very choppy ride.

New set of tyres transformed the ride on my old 3 door..I also thought it had suspension problems but the tyres fix it 👍🏻

I had out of round tyres on my first 3-dr and a new set of Coopers cured the problem.

I have my second set of Yoko Geolandars on mine , GO15's this time and the handling never causes me any concerns.
