Aftermarket SatNav / DVD / BT carkit?

PostPosted by Nosegear » Thu Feb 06, 2014 2:50 pm

Hi all,

Last week I've been sniffing around to find a replacement for the default RAV4 audio system. I'm driving around with a GPS suction-cupped to the windscreen and an inherited BT car kit of dubious make & model, and would like to have that all integrated into one nice new head unit.

On my journeys I cane across this Henhao unit. Reasonably priced, a few known quirks that I think I can live with and all the nice features I need are in there.

Anyone here any experience with this unit - or perhaps a suggestion for a nicer solution yet?

Cheers,

Marcel

Hi,

I removed the original post into quarantine to check further as there are a spate of "what you think to this ....(link to product online) " type posts on many forums and often these are not genuine posts AND often the link is a 'trojan' link as an attempt to infect the users computer.
And as you had only just joined before posting this, I was wary of your post. I trust you understand the reason for this :s_yes

I fitted a Sony XNV-L66BT to my Rav, which has TomTom Nav, BT DVD And Rear Camera which I think is excellent . . .if expensive Been discontinued but its bigger brother the XNV-L77BT should be available.

To paraphrase one of our Northern Members the cheaper Chinese units from eBay and the like, complete pish!

If you don't have to have TomTom, there are some nice units out there with Garmin integrated . . .but expect to be paying 600 Pounds . . .so about 20 Euros then :s_mad
