I've found 3ltrs online for £27 so I'll buy that and see if I can borrow my mates hydraulic ramp and change the oil.
I think it's worth doing even if I don't notice any change,it's just a chance to flush out the old oil and refresh.

at the very least the gear change will be lighter.

I bought some Fuchs sinto fluid FE SAE 75W for the gearbox. It's GL4 is this correct?
I saw some genuine Toyota LV MT75 oil for sale online and that was GL4 but the Toyota 75-85 oil is GL5.

Basically is GL4 75w oil the right grade for a 2010 6spd ?

API GL-4 SAE 75W is what Toyota's service data sheet lists for the gearbox (although back in the mists of time, the genuine Toyota 75W LV was always recommended here).

Yeah thanks the oil I have meets that spec, I find the Toyota Specs for oils very vague.
Do you know if the transfer box uses same oil as rear diff? I think thats GL5 80w90 hypoid

Thanks,I bit the bullet and have booked it into the dealer for transfer/diff oil change. The car is under Toyota warranty so I thought I'd keep a record of it being done.
The gearbox oil I'll get that done by local indy garage soon.
I'm hoping for miricles :)
