Did you check out the Flickr How-To, Don?

I did Hoovie but mine doesn’t show that box where you can select the image size. It just gives the link and the twitter and Facebook icons. I’m only one small step better than Charlie and lose patience with the blasted things.

You probably missed the step to make your pictures public.... check out the 5th image in the post: post78911.html#p78911. (This one https://flic.kr/p/VgEswF ). If you can manage to use a Mac, then this will be a piece of cake :s_thumbsup

I read a post on another forum which might be of interest ....

The poster created a blog (not sure what platform i.e. Blogger, Wordpress, etc) and the purpose was not to actually have a blog as such, but to get him storage space to upload pictures, and then he could get a link for each image and post that where he wanted.
Apparently he found it simple to do, quick and free. Might be something for people to look into if they don't like any of the current suggestions?
If you DO look at this option, check what limits there are on the amount of storage. it is going back quite a few years but I ran a community blog on wordpress a few years ago and IIRC, I had to pay something like £100 a year to allow image storing over a certain amount :s_scratchhead was a long time ago so I can't remember the details and no doubt T&Cs will be different by now anyway, but just check before you commit yourself to a host (the time spent sorting this kind of thing out is far more expensive then the money (if chargeable) laid out)

I'm pretty sure that Don's image is 'public' ... otherwise I wouldn't have been able to post it for him ...

But as I implied in my reply on the how-to thread:
philip42h wrote:Excellent tutorial David ... and explains where I was having difficulties with Flickr ... namely that the image to be shared must be 'public' and in your / ones Photostream - if it's not the 'share' button doesn't give you the BBCode option ...

You need to go via the Photostream tab/page in order to get the correct BBCode option - i.e. from the Photostream page, click on the image that you want to post and, once that opens up, click on the curly share arrow (bottom right) and select the BBCode ... exactly as shown on the tutorial.

If, however, you start from the Camera Roll page - which is where you would be having just uploaded an image - you can select the image which then provides a curly share arrow (bottom left-ish) which offers Share and Email options but not the needed BBCode option even when the image is public. Flickr can be a little confusing I think ...
