Newbie checking in and saying hello....

PostPosted by Greg999 » Tue May 02, 2017 6:53 pm

Now on our second RAV having purchased our 'new' 2007 model one from a main dealer last week. Imagine the joy when we got home having driven over 281 miles to find that the cruise control which was advertised as listed on our specific car wasn't fitted. We tried to operate it from the steering wheel before realised it should have a switch on a stalk!. :shok:

And breath... :(

:welcome to the club Greg :s_howdy
Get them to send you the parts for the Cruise control - it's an easy retrofit assuming your RAV is set up for it. The dealer should be able to check from the VIN.

Welcome to the forum.
Pretty sure you maybe able to fit cruise control still. Hopefully one of the more technical members should be able to advise pretty sure it's been done on here

Welcome :welcome

If it was specifically advertised then the dealer has an obligation to fit it. If he has to pay your travel costs to do so, then that's tough for him. As the chaps have said, it's a reasonably easy fit so maybe you can persuade him to provide the bits plus some financial compensation for your inconvenience and then fit it yourself. :s_thumbsup
