18V but fairly low Amps Bob. Still a decent tool for light home use. Bigger batteries easily available but the cost rises.

Charlie are the amps more important than the volts or is the torque figure the one that matters ?

The volts are the horsepower the amps are what feeds the power. Lower amps mean less run time so at least reasonable ampage is required . I have a Milwaukee 12V combi/hammer drill which is small in size but extremely capable. Its 12V has more than enough grunt and the run time is huge with full power from its 4 Amp battery lasting ages and ages. Same tool came supplied with a 1.5 Amp battery but that one is not very good at all and lasts no time.

Ryobi do a 5 Amp battery that will fit the driver you linked but that battery costs circa 100 quid. So to buy both will take you over 200 ...

You can buy a Milwaukee set up with one 5 Amp battery and the Impact driver for around 220.

Driver

Battery.

So the whole kit for 150 quid. Makes the Ryobi look expensive ! The driver is the latest "Fuel" type machine which means it is brushless. Lads in the trade rave over them !

That is probably the one I have :) (I say probably as when they switched their batteries to Li-on, Ryobi redid all their tools in this yellow from the blue, but the tools inside themselves didn't seem to change)
Works well and I use it a bit when I remember. Much better at screwing then their Cordless drill and used it to free up some very reluctant screws.
I use the 4A battery and it tends to last as long as I do :s_blush and recharges faster then me as well :(

If you have (or are considering) other One+ tools, it makes sense to choose this one and keep the single battery fitment :s_thumbsup

Remember to also add in a charger ;)

FWIW I find the smaller batteries nicer in use. They make the tool less cumbersome if you are doing just bits and pieces rather then constantly screwing away. Sadly my 1.3A died prematurely and now only have the 4A. Great in the strimmer, but miss the smaller battery in the drills.

5 amp battery and charger here, So that takes it up to 200 quid. Chargers can be bought for 27 quid. Id go for the linked set up though
