Switched off as soon as the winner past the flag will now go looking it something has happened. The BTCC final was far better BTW

Yeah it will be, any series that doesn't rely on Aero generated down force for grip will have much closer racing and more overtaking, although the LMP cars do pretty well for close following and over takes with lots of aero down force . . . but that's closed cockpit

They showed some footage from the car behind the pair of them a bit later (at least on Sky they did. might be on youtube by now?)

First time I saw from Vettels camera, I thought he came across Stroll a fair bit and would have given him the blame. When they showed the incident from the car behind the pair of them, I think it looked like Vettel was cutting the corner, and also Stroll not turning into the corner much, so from THAT footage, I would say they are both guilty of not being alert enough of other cars, like the Stewards concluded.

Malaysia is meant to be one of the most demanding circuits for the drivers, so once that race is over, I am not surprised attention levels dropped and was just unfortunate (and expensive!)

Are they not supposed to not overtake on the cooling/slowing down lap or at least drive too quickly as often marshall's are on track

there is certainly a lot of slow speed passing that happens on track after the race is over. Not sure if marshalls are actually on the track, but they do often go close to the edges to wave all the flags, so I guess more attention at all times whilst on the race track would be expected :Y

Bad terminology, I meant at the side of the track not behind the barriers & there is a risk at some tracks of spectators crossing the track, but it does look like a lack of awareness from both drivers, Vettel cutting back a little too early to take the corner, Stroll maybe unaware that Vettel was approaching/overtaking, preoccupied with doing his post race procedures,
