I like the Singapore race. Much more interesting than the equivalent european street race i.e. Monaco. This would be one of my "go-races" if I had the opportunity.

Interesting that the Lap Record was from last year and held by a Red Bull. That must be a good indication that power is not king here, so Mercedes will not have the same advantage as on other circuits. Will Red Bull come through again, or will Ferrari find the form that seemed to disappear at Monza?

Agree with you there about RB, think Merc may struggle but you can never discount the Lewis factor, if Max can contain his frustration & realise that to finish first he has to first has to finish & although he has to make progress he probably can't win the race in the first 5 laps. Just like last year when Lewis was getting all the mechanicals & Nico wasn't, I often wonder if it's the driving style that attributes to the failures. We found this out the hard way, each time we took the Saxo to Cadwell Park we would snap a drive shaft, we went & did 2x airstrip track days without issue, came back to Cadwell snapped a shaft, we were driving over the kerbs.

I'm not a believer in fate, so when one driver gets a noticeably worse run of "bad luck", you need to suspect driving styles or maybe the mechanics looking after the car (though undoubtedly everyone does gets randomly unlucky or lucky occasionally of course).

Be good if Max could contain himself to finish a race as he is undoubtedly an exciting driver to watch.

Talking kerbs, remember those "sausages" at a couple of tracks a couple of years ago? Drivers hated them but I thought they were great as created a real penalty for chopping corners. Needs to be more track limit recognition I think!

I am very happy with the news Carlos Jr. is going to Renault. He is a great young driver and deserves a chance in a top car.

Well that was a bit of a turn around from last time, nice to see RB back in the mix, hopefully they can mug the Ferrari at the start

Think the writing was on the wall for Palmer he's done so much damage to his car this year and performed badly.
I wonder if Toro Russo were pressurised to drop the Renault engine so McLaren could have it ? The way I read it was Honda will bring big money to the team and as they are struggling they had little choice.
Mercedes are going to struggle tomorrow maybe the odd safety car can play into their hands .

I did read somewhere RB thought it could be a win win, if it fails then they get the money, if it eventually performs the main team could drop Renault & also get Honda, or Dietrich Mateschitz could sell up & move on if Honda want to go full manufacturer team.

Thats not a bad cunning plan ....if the Honda engine finds another couple of hundred bhp it could be a winner :D
