I wonder how well they upgraded the brakes and brake cooling to cope with the higher speeds and presumably heavier breaking? (especially on the main straight if DRS is being used!) - could be a few cars not making it around turn 14/15 hairpin cleanly :s_cool

Alonso done the best he could we what he had .....

Alonso is looking at the bigger Picture for next year in which hes looking for a new team, clearly still very hungry to win races and wants a competitive car .

Good Race. Worth watching :s_thumbsup

Comments on top 6 finishers below ....
Good show from Lewis there.

Some good overtaking from Seb Vettel. Never rated him as an racer in his earlier Red Bull years, but proving me wrong now :Y

Mad Max doing a great job mostly. Clearly got flustered by Vettel and got his car position really messed up. I thought he had a car issue as it was so bad, but was just driver error. Then whinging about no blue flags and losing focus towards the end.
Shame, but lack of maturity I guess as only 19 after all. He will learn and fix that soon enough :s_thumbsup

Danny Ric... good driver but he is going to be overshadowed by Max this season I think. I wonder if like Seb he will be looking to jump ship if he gets trounced by his teammate? Maybe a switch to Ferrari when they finally wake up and ditch Kimi again? Seb/Daniel together again in a different team might be interesting. Wonder if that has ever happened before?

Kimi R ... moany as usual. Radioing in saying "no power from engine" but speed trap showed him doing over 200MPH. Never been a fan of the Ice-man personally and never understood the adulation he gets :s_scratchhead

Valteri Bottas... bit anonymous. I like Valteri and he is a good driver, but not one of the very best. I still think Mercedes should have got Estaban Ocon as the replacement for Rosberg. He is not quite at Bottas' level yet, but a year in the Mercedes would see him ahead for sure.

Ive seen the results this morning although not watched the race yet, Max has got the makings of a superstar from back of the field to 3rd on the podium .
If Bottas turns out to be average at best Alonso wil be gunning for his seat next year ..both looking for new contracts for 2018, although not sure if Lewis would want hin as a team mate again :shok:
Not bothered I've seen the result... very much looking forward to the race :s_cool

Think we must have watched different races, apart from the Max/Danny at the end it has to rate as one of the worst ever.
