[quote="Paulus17"]Sorry David i couldn't tell from your link which was which so here is a piccy of what i have

Looks like a standard Schroeder connection. In work we have miles of air hose connected about the place.
Some good suggestions made here about what to use, if you don't go with these I would suggest the same
stuff we use. It is clear braided stuff, we buy it from Cromwell Industrial who have branches all over the
country, it is pretty cheap. Your own stuff may have went hard/brittle which it does with age.

Hi dave.
The hose i have was like it from new,it took me ages to even get it uncoiled and has been like it ever since.it just won't straighten out and just wants to recoil.
Think i might give machine mart a visit and see what they have so i can see the hose.

I don't know if the connector Dave identified is the same as mine (I just know mine as full-flow), but if it is the same, Machine Mart don't sell them :(
Daft, and the manager of the branch I asked about it said they wish they did sell them as it is a common enquiry, but they don't!

Well thats that cunning plan had it then if thats the case :s_blush
I also have a smaller comp that i used to use for nailing so i think i will try the fittings on that hose which if ok i could use but is shorter than i'd like, and it is the rubber type.

You can if you wish change the connections, we use the type with a tail which can be connected to a hose with a jubilee
clip rather than fixed to the hose. Being that our stuff is being used in an industrial enviroment, the hoses do get damaged.
If practical we chop the end and re-attach using jubilees. Our compressor sits about a constant 100 PSI.

See link for sample connectors using jubilee clip.

Edit, just checked, last time I paid £37.0 for 30 metres of 9.5 mm bore hose. Not on a reel, just roll it up, the actual hose
is PVC reinforced with Polyester fibre braid which is bog standard stuff.

Its the bore size i'm not getting now as there seems to be various bore sizes so i presume the one i want will have to fit my fittings,or is the different sizes just down to the various fittings?? :s_dunno

Paul, what pressure is your compressor putting out ? This will determine bore size, the stuff we use is quoted as -

MAXIMUM PRESSURE RATINGS

6.35 mm bore - 250PSI
9.5 mm bore - 150PSI
12.7 mm bore - 130PSI
19 mm bore - 100PSI

If your max working pressure is 116PSI, you can use 12.7 mm (1/2 in) bore (if using this type of braded hose I posted).
