Outdoor Pursuits v Sports

PostPosted by Hoovie » Sun Dec 29, 2013 10:28 pm

Question:
Should HFT - And Archery for that matter - be in the Sports Section? I seem to have created a bit of a cross-over section as Motorsport could be considered "outdoor Pursuit" just as easily

Thinking Outdoor pursuits as non-competitive past times (though I am sure Rambling can be competitive just as much! :s_whiteflag )

Suggestions on how to get these to make more sense Heading wise please? :clapping:

Shooting has to be a sport discipline David or it wouldn't be in the Olimpics ??

I fully agree, Charlie :s_thumbsup

So the way I started this section doesn't quite make sense in hindsight, so what should we call the Outdoor Pursuits? (and what should it contain?)

Also, as suggested by Denshaw, a category here for Travel and Sightseeing (and maybe good roads to have fun in the RAV4 :s_wink ) would be good.

I'll leave this open to suggestions and ideas :friends:

Both HFT ans=d Archery would be considered both sport and outdoor pursuits. Sport first and foremost I would have thought.. How much have you got into HFT David ? I haven't shot since moving back south just over two years ago ! :s_blush

A section for Travel/sightseeing or places worth visiting sounds a great idea.
The golf R32 forum had a section for good driving roads, which were places best avoided,if you valued your safety :s_thumbsup
