On a few LR forums, which you have to be to own one!!

Most useful I've found is Landyzone;

http://www.landyzone.co.uk

The Discovery section alone (which is the only bit I go in) has 32,000 threads with over 300,000 posts!!

That'll be us one day, little while yet though!

Daves are everywhere. Some say you're never more than 10 feet from a Dave.

If he has a Series/Rangerover/Defender/Freelander then yes. Although some overlap (eg Defenders and Disco 2 can have same TD5 engine)
I think far far more people have Discos than anything else. To me, best combo of ability/comfort/cost. (Can't afford RR, a Defender too bumpy, Freelander too small, Series too old!)
Had 3 though, '73 series, '83 defender then 2002 Disco (last one I've had over 11 years!)

OH has an "ex army, '90' soft top, '85, D reg."

It's bumpy and old :s_biggrin

He's in no danger of me driving it :s_no

I have to admit though, it's good to be able to lose the roof while the weathers nice.

Can't do that in my RAV :s_sad

I watched an episode of wheeler dealers yesterday.... Doing up a 20+ year old defender and looked really good afterwards at not a lot of money.
And getting refurbed wheels with big chunky tyres, new grill, headlight surrounds, and a new steering wheel all for £400! Should have done a LR instead of a VW :rolleyes:

We have a saying in LR land. "If it's not leaking, it's run out"
I'm fed up of finding/fixing leaks on mine. Besides, all that oil on the underneath keeps the rust levels down!!

Served my time on Gardner diesels. Those are another British icon that was good in its day but they also came from an era where oil was difficult to fully contain let alone think it was unusual.
