MG-Rover

PostPosted by Hoovie » Tue Jul 15, 2014 2:53 pm

http://mgrover.co is a new forum that has been created for fans and owners of the Austin, Rover and MG cars. Now the original Rover has really disappeared and the dealerships have either closed down or changed Marques, forums to support Rover, a classic British brand as was, are very important.

Could be a big help with the guys wanting spare parts, as body panels dried up soon after the factory shut down, Rover cars were been written off by insurance companies for minor panel damage, due to no panels available .

Did anyone see the pictures inside the Rover factory not long after it closed ? :s_sad

Really weird... everything had just stopped, cars part built, still on the assembly jigs... :shok:

Even body shells stacked on racking waiting...

It's a shame Rover burned their bridges with Honda. They would still be prospering if they had made the right move. Instead they went with the Germans who milked off the lucrative Mini and binned the rest. Arseholes.

By the way I think I might have great volumes of Rover manuals if any of your readers needs it. I have done some work on 75s - especially with the, BMW diesel so also have some experience.

Maybe a Rover forum was a bit like the tumbleweed site to maybe cars grouped together, as each model could have it own clubs :s_yes
