Laminate Flooring Fitting

PostPosted by Hoovie » Sun Dec 15, 2013 5:15 pm

I used to do quite a bit of DIY, mainly through my own stupidity of buying houses that needed too much renovation.

And one thing I do like is a Wooden Floor, but I hate drafts and gaps, so the usual idea of an old house to take away the carpets, get a sander on the floor and then varnish doesn't cut it for me.

My last house in Devon I fitted a very nice but fairly inexpensive Michigan Pine laminate flooring throughout the whole ground floor. This is the sitting room just completed (I mentioned to Kevins better half earlier this week I am a fan of non-neutral wall colours ... I guess this proves it!! :s_cool )

(and just to prove it was me .....)

Worked out quite a few little tips and shortcuts in the process of doing this house and earlier ones, so if anyone is doing something similar for the first time, happy to pass on any of my Amateur Fitting Tips :thumbsup

Nice job Hoovie. Glad to see you did it properly - skirtings off so no nasty beading :pleasantry:

Very nice, had a similar V Groove wide plank to that in our last house. Planning to do this one in the spring.
